1. What is a Renaissance Faire?
A Renaissance Faire is an amalgam of many things. It is part performance art, part arts and crafts, and part interactive learning. A recreation of a Renaissance village is filled with costumed actors, crafts and games to give patrons the illusion that they have stepped back in time. The Southern Connecticut Renaissance Festival features over 50 performances on 6 stages and over 40 merchant booths set on 15 acres of Warsaw Park.

2. Why are you doing this?
We do this for two reasons. The first being that this is a fundraiser and we share part of the proceeds with several 501C3 organizations. Our company is dedicated to the betterment of our communities. The second reason is we enjoy history, and find the Renaissance to be a fascinating time worthy of sharing. To this end we host a Renaissance Faire every year and invite you to come experience the interactive living history for yourself. ^Back to Top^
3. What happens if it rains?
We are open Rain or Shine. There is shelter in the craft shops and other pavilion areas for heavy rain. Some performances may be delayed or canceled if the rain is very hard and there is a danger of performers being injured. Otherwise the show continues as scheduled. On very rare occasions, the weather may become severe enough to warrant a danger to all, in that scenario, the Festival may elect to close. ^Back to Top^
4. Is there Satellite parking available?

15. Can I wear my sword/dagger/etc.?
The management discourages the use of weapons as costume adornments, as the safety of our patrons is our utmost concern. Any weapon adornment must be "peace-tied" and otherwise protected so any sharp edges are covered, and so it cannot be drawn or wielded while on the grounds. Due to the wide variety of potential "weapons" each item is handled on a case-by-case basis when the patron enters the festival. The Front Gate personnel determine what will and will not be allowed into the festival, as well as how it will be "peace-tied" and protected before the patron enters the festival. To avoid your weapon being refused at the entrance gate, we advise that you do not wear weapons as costume adornments. Security personnel will monitor the wearing of weapons on the festival grounds. On violation of our weapons policy, Security personnel may confiscate any weapon and expel the violator from the festival grounds. Realistic ReEnactments LLC reserves the right to exclude a patron/participant from carrying or wearing a weapon. ^Back to Top^
